Sunday afternoon project

There's some interior decorating projects going on this weekend now that The Boy finally and officially lives here. (Breathe in, breathe out, Noodles...)

In the midst of moving and assembling furniture, I got the idea of making a table runner for the coffee table. I decided not to use a pattern and instead came up with one all by my little self. (For the record, this only looks partially like what I spent time sketching out. Apparently, I'm not so much with the directions. Even when I'm the one making it.)

Since it was snowing today, and the new fabric was making my fingers itchy, I decided to whip it up this afternoon. (BTW, it's not that pretty, fluffy fun-to-look-at kind of snow. That half snow, half rain, half sleet, half ice kind of stuff that stings your face and makes your eyes well. Which means it's pretty much the best kind of weather for hanging out inside with hot cocoa and jammies.)

Since I went overboard on fabric (among the many dangers of a) being a fabricaholic and b) buying fabric before you've come up with a pattern), I'm thinking of using some of the extra material to cover a few pillows in the living room.
Oh yeah, here's the runner from another angle.

Oooooh, I love it! That's definitely one of my favorites. I'd like mine with more red, please.

Cute! I love it.

So you and the boy have moved in together ... Another one bites the dust ;)

P.S. I want to point out that your word verification for this comment is SPERM. I am not kidding.
