An ode to a sports bra.

I wrote this post for Fleet Feet Chicago, my running store and home-away-from home.

Because sometimes, you just decide to pen a break up letter to your tired-and-worn sports bra. And then publish it for the whole entire internet to read.

(Sidebar and pro tip, ladies: Go to you local running store and when you're getting fitted for new shoes, get fitted for a new sports bra. And if you've been doing hard-core workouts in yours for more than a year, consider investing in a new one. Don't make the girls sad.)

And to all a good night.

I know it's been quite around these parts, but live in my world certainly hasn't. I hope to return to being blogtastic in the new year. Until then, I offer you this lovely video of Jesse the Wonder Dog, decorating a tree. Because, really, there are few things more cute than a terrier, no?

Merry Christmas. May yours be warm, merry and bright.

WHEEE

Thanks to my love of my DVR, and the fact that I haven't regularly watched live TV in probably three years, I'm way out of the loop when it comes to commercials. Like... waaaaaaaay out of the loop. Which explains why when a coworker showed me this video at the office this week, I about peed my pants.

For the record, I hate to be the dumbass who sends some link that everyone saw three months ago. But at the risk of being that person, OMG. WATCH. THIS.

You are welcome.

SNL tries to save Broadway

Anyone catch last night's episode of Saturday Night Live?

My favorite sketch by far was their "Save Broadway" skit. Totally entertaining for a theater dork like me, right down to the fact that they met in a back room at Sardi's.

Woot canal!

Talk of dental issues had me thinking about one of my favorite scenes in West Wing, where C.J. has to turn over press briefing duties to Josh because she had a root canal.

This is probably a good time to explain that I'm a HUGE West Wing addict and have a nasty habit of quoting lines from the show randomly and with an annoying frequency. (I mean, com'n, who doesn't love the 20 Hours In America episode where they get left behind in Indiana, screwed over by the state's crazy time zones, a biodiesel car that runs out of fuel, the wrong train and a pack of "alpha girls?")

And yes, I have a total girl crush on C.J. Cregg.
